Workshop: Jim Bonney 5

This is the last Jim Bonney workshop. This makes me really sad.

Today definitely had the greatest improv we've done so far. We started our improvs with our masks (the people who we pretend to be), and then we started cracking out of our masks. "You have to break your mask to get what you want."

I did an improv with Shiana in which I was her mother and she was my only daughter leaving for college on the other side of the globe. My mask was happy and confident. I got upset because I worked so hard to bring her up into what I wanted her to be and now she was leaving me. Jim Bonney turns to me. "You're acting." He knows. I let my guard down, and I give Shiana a hug, wishing her the best of luck for the future, and I watch her walk away.

"You hide really deep, don't you?" he says to me. Jim Bonney, you couldn't be more right.
