I was inspired to practice this based on the works of Guillaume Apollinare. I typed the poems using Adobe Paint Shop Pro, which contains a number of great features that allow you to warp text. It was fun introducing computer editing to my own writing, and creating images with words. My particular favorite in this is "Too Much Alcohol," based on its sheer ridiculousness.
